Plastic is a sustainable material – if used correctly! With more than 30 years of experience, we know exactly what is important: We only use single-material solutions for our products so that they can be completely recycled at the end of their service life. To ensure that our products are particularly stable and durable, we use just as much material as necessary – no more, but also no less.

How it all began
As a young carpentry apprentice, Robert Auer discovered his passion for the world of plastics and the automated production of plastic parts during a tour of the company. With financial support from his mother, he was quickly able to realise his dream and purchase his own injection moulding machine. Shortly afterwards, he started producing his first plastic parts in a converted farmhouse in Taufkirchen. Euro container as a further development of the shrub box and thus the starting signal for global market expansion.

Acquisition of Amerang Technology Park
AUER Packaging bought the technology park in Amerang in 2014. A large number of remodelling and construction projects have been conducted on this approximately 50,000 square-metre site since then.
2015
Opening of the production hall I
Our first production hall with new machines and an area of around 3,000 m² was put into operation. The existing hall had previously been completely renovated and modernised. The production of plastic buckets began with the help of five machines.

2016
Opening of the production hall II
In June 2016, the second production hall with seven injection moulding machines went into operation after being gutted and modernised. With 14 machines, the 3,000 square metre hall offers additional capacity for the production of Euro and KLT containers. State-of-the-art robots and underground conveyor belts enable a considerable increase in capacity.
2018
New protective case product line
AUER Packaging presents the XROC protective case line and opens up new markets in outdoor, media and industry. Customers can use the web configurator to customise the case upholstery. The waterproof, dustproof and stackable XROC cases can withstand extreme temperatures and are also suitable for air travel thanks to the automatic pressure equalisation valve.
Magic sales mark of 100 million
2018 was a milestone: AUER has broken the record turnover of EUR 100 million! A reason to celebrate and thank our employees for their many years of top performance. Since then, we have further increased our annual turnover.
2019
Opening the warehouse
In order to create additional storage capacity at short notice, we put a newly built warehouse into operation. This expands our storage capacity by 6,300 square metres of floor space. A photovoltaic system on the roof improves our own energy supply.
Opening of the production hall III
The newly built Hall 3 started production in 2020, creating a further 3,000 square metres of production space. Here we manufacture the largest products such as plastic pallets, big boxes and large load carriers. Ten machines are in use, including one of the largest injection moulding machines in Bavaria.
2021
Start of construction of logistics centre
The go-ahead has been given for the construction of the new logistics centre on the company premises in Amerang. After intensive planning and overcoming major hurdles, the project was approved and construction of the fully automated high-bay storage system could begin.
2022
Change of name to AUER GmbH
AUER Packaging was renamed the AUER Group. This enabled the integration of various new sub-brands and thus a broader range of innovative products.
New brand: ROBERT AUER
The all new, fresh kitchen brand ROBERT AUER was launched. More than 70 innovative kitchen products – from measuring spoons to steam cookers – were launched. The practical kitchen utensils impress with their elegant design, sophisticated functionality and high-quality plastics.
2023
Completion of the logistics centre
After an intensive planning and construction phase, the new logistics centre was completed. This offers even more options for handling processes in a time-efficient manner.
Top 100 Handelsblatt Ranking
As a newcomer to the Handelsblatt ranking, AUER was awarded the seal of “Germany’s fastest-growing SMEs 2023” for the first time and took 62nd place out of more than 8,000 participating companies. With this, we are one of the TOP 100 fastest-growing SMEs in Germany across all sectors!
2024
German Design Award
For the impressive functionality and exclusive design of our ROBERT AUER kitchen gadgets, the lemon squeezer and measuring jug were honoured as winners of the prestigious German Design Award 2024.
